The foremost aerospace industries and the largest laboratories for technological development took part in this event, the industry’s most important exhibition in Asia. The Department of Community Policies of the Province of Naples, which had a communal stand of over 60 sqm, supported the participation of the Italian National Institute of Astrophysics. The Astronomical Observatory of Capodimonte exhibited, among other instruments, a valuable item from the Museum of Astronomical Instruments, the famous “Cerchio Meridiano” of Reichenbach-Utzschneider, which, given its complex manufacture, required meticulous, specific packing to ensure its safety, especially during the long journeys from Naples to the exhibition venue in China and back.
