La Sicilia in età arcaica. Dalle apoikiai al 480 a.C.
Caltanissetta, Museo Archeologico 26 October 2006 – 7 January 2007
Organized and promoted by the Region of Sicily in collaboration with the Soprintendenza of Caltanisetta, the exhibition was divided into four chronological sections. Over five hundred valuable pieces were shown, including ceramics, marble sculptures, pottery, metal artefacts and coins, clearly illustrating the emergence, development and evolution of art during the Archaic period. As well as standard packaging in climate-controlled cases in multilayer wood, the diversity of the objects exhibited, from minute artefacts in painted terracotta to imposing marble sculptures, also required custom-made packaging.
