After the exhaustive exhibitions on the 17th and 18th century civilizations, this exposition concluded a complex journey through almost four centuries of art history. It presented the figurative culture resulting from the cultural changes and stratifications in one of the most populous European cities, a melting pot of dramatic contradictions and astounding experiences of art and life. A wide range of works – exquisite paintings, delicate drawings, elegant objects of applied arts and outstanding sculptural groups – required a complex plan which was devised and executed by our specialist personnel using precise hanging techniques.
